How to choose a theme?

So there are several possibilities. We can work at the favorite seen in a shop or adapt the decoration of the tree to its interior. I think it's mainly based on the vision we have of Christmas. If for you, Christmas is a matter of tradition, you will prefer red and green. And if you do not envisage Christmas without snow, you will surely choose a decoration in white and silver tones. Also note that you do not have to change the theme every year. Instead, keep the general idea and buy a few accessories to please yourself.

Here are all the steps not to be overlooked when decorating a Christmas tree

Delicate operation than hanging Christmas balls. To achieve a harmonious result, the important thing is to arrange them from bottom to top and all around fairly, which is not always easy when several hands are involved. A certain coordination in the work is necessary! The key is to space out the decorations more or less depending on the size of the tree and the number of elements you have. It goes without saying that if you have decided to place the tree in a corner of the room, facing a wall, one side will be more decorated than the other. To highlight the decorations you prefer, it is advisable to hang them at eye level or at least at the top of the tree, and distribute the more discreet Christmas balls around. You can also play with the length of the branches by sometimes placing balls at their ends, sometimes further inside the tree. You must also take into account the weight of certain decorations, which can make the branches bend, or even not hold at all... Beware of falling balls, they are often fragile!

Christmas garlands

Once the balls have been distributed, you can place the garland(s), "natural" or luminous, by making them meander between them. If you have several garlands, you can bring them down by turning around the tree and crossing them: this will give a nice colored and sparkling volume to the tree.

The top of the Christmas tree

The icing on the cake, the placing of the star on the top of the tree traditionally completes the work. It remains to take a step back to change a few details, straighten a garland, move such a ball a few notches and drop: the nativity scene...

All that remains is to add the characters and why not a garland to bring light to the scene.

How to harmonize everything?

You need some consistency! For example, even though the decorations are different, they should echo each other. The harmony is mainly in the colors and not so much in the shape. This is why you should not exceed more than two or three colors. And for the garlands, choose a single color that will be included in the balls. Above all, play on the depths and do not limit yourself to the edges of the tree. What is interesting is to put decorations even near the trunk.
